Skirting boards made of laminated wood (LVL, laminated veneer lumber) and then provided with a finishing layer of calcium silicate.  LVL offers several advantages over solid wood, it is stronger, straighter and more uniform. Due to its compound nature, it is much less likely to warp, twist, bend or shrink.
